Create the cutover register

Register the old and new box, insert and artwork references separately, with the product SKUs and purchase orders using each version. Record remaining packaging stock by version and identify the intended first order for the replacement. This is a switching record; the physical design comparison belongs in the range-development brief.

Decision 2

Authorise use and withdrawal

Assign a buyer decision to each old component: use on a named order, hold for review or withdraw under the agreed process. Keep superseded files clearly identified and release the new purchase line only against its current drawing and artwork. Obtain confirmation from the receiving and packing teams that their instructions refer to the same cutover.
