Develop the pack from the garment’s folded size, the number of pieces and the way the order will be presented or delivered. Compare apparel mailers, scarf boxes and gift sets before fixing the outer dimensions.

Measure the clothing after folding and include tissue, tags and any accessories in the packed thickness. Select a presentation box or a shipping mailer for the actual sales channel, then review packing, opening and any required return closure with a filled sample.

Structure & buying decisions
| Buying task | What to compare | Sample or brief requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Gift presentation | Scarf, shirt or accessory arranged for a deliberate reveal. | Confirm the visible fold, tissue arrangement, logo position and whether the gift pack needs a shipping carton. |
| E-commerce delivery | A mailer selected around the completed folded stack. | Check loaded thickness, closure clearance, product movement and the outer-carton packing pattern. |
| Returns & repeat use | A closure that supports the specific return workflow. | Ask for the proposed resealing arrangement. A mailer photograph alone does not prove a return-ready design. |

Material, insert & print options
Discuss corrugated construction for delivery and presentation-board options for gifting. Set the board specification after the packed weight and route are known.
Include tissue thickness and folds in the sample. Separate exposed zips, buckles or decorative details where the garment layout requires it.
Place artwork around folds and closure edges. Compare the printed inside lid, external branding and optional labels using the final folded sample.

Fashion & apparel buying questions
Use the intended folded presentation. Include tissue, tags and accessories, then measure the completed stack. An unfolded garment size does not define the packaging size.
Send the smallest and largest folded sizes and the number of items per order. Compare movement and closure at both extremes before deciding whether a shared box or separate sizes make sense.
Specify the return journey in the brief. Ask to review the proposed resealing method and a repeated opening-and-closing sample; the source collection does not establish a tested return feature for every box.
Supply the real folded clothing, tissue, tags and any accessories. Check how the packing team will place them and how the customer removes them.
