Custom Food & Beverage Packaging

Choose the role of the paper pack first: carrying sealed food containers, presenting a tea or snack set, or supporting bottles for delivery. Define direct-contact components separately from the outer packaging.

Structure & buying decisions

Define the job of every packaging layer.

Buying taskWhat to compareSample or brief requirements
Direct-contact componentThe surface or container that touches the food.Identify the exact material, intended food type, temperature and contact conditions before requesting applicable evidence.
Presentation or carrier boxA paper pack around sealed food, tea packs, bottles or trays.Confirm the primary pack fit, set arrangement, carrying method and any exposure to moisture or oil.
Shipping outerThe completed assortment travels through a distribution route.Agree the filled weight, separation, cushioning, sealing and required checks for that route.

Industry applications

How should a buyer separate food-contact packaging from presentation and shipping packaging?

Identify which component touches the food and which only carries or presents an existing primary pack. Provide the container or bottle dimensions, filled weight and use conditions. Then specify separators, handling and the outer delivery arrangement, with any food-contact documentation tied to the actual material and order.

Material, insert & print options

A paper exterior does not define the contact layer.

Primary pack

Share the actual sealed bag, jar, bottle or tray. Confirm who supplies it and whether the proposed box contacts food directly.

Dividers & support

Discuss bottle separators, compartment layouts or fitted supports for the primary packs. Check the loaded arrangement during sampling.

Artwork & finishes

Provide label panels, print files and any handling instructions. Keep coatings and contact requirements separate decisions rather than assuming one finish suits every food use.

Sampling & shipment preparation

Review the food pack under its intended conditions.

  • State whether the contents are sealed and identify direct-contact surfaces.
  • Provide temperature, moisture, oil exposure and intended handling conditions.
  • Check trays, handles, partitions and closure with the complete loaded assortment.
  • Request evidence for the particular material and use rather than a general food-grade promise.

Prepare the quotation brief

  • Food type and existing primary containers
  • Filled dimensions, weights and units per pack
  • Contact, temperature and moisture conditions
  • Distribution route, quantity, artwork and delivery date

Food & beverage buying questions

Resolve the details before ordering.

Is every food-category box suitable for direct food contact?

This collection does not establish that. Identify the component touching the food and the intended conditions, then review the material-specific documentation required for your order.

What do I need for a wine gift-box sample?

Provide the actual bottle dimensions, filled weights and number per set. Include any accessories and describe whether the gift box will travel inside a separate shipping carton.

Can one carrier hold different meal containers?

Supply each container profile and loaded weight. Check retention, lifting and assembly for every combination; do not assume matching external dimensions mean the contents fit.

Can you confirm food-contact compliance from a photograph?

A photograph cannot establish the substrate, coating or test scope. Review those details against the intended food and contact conditions in the written specification.
