Decision 1
Measure both ends of the range
Build the smallest and largest planned product assortment with all cards and wrapping. Measure the complete arrangement, including the thickest point, rather than choosing from bare-item dimensions.
Decision 2
Test the common-size assumption
Load both combinations into the proposed shared box. If one has excessive movement or the other forces the lid, compare alternate depths or inserts. Record the final order-to-pack assignment for the Sydney fulfilment brief.
Turn the method into a sample brief
Bring the result of “measure both ends of the range” and “test the common-size assumption” to the packaging discussion. Share the real contents, relevant drawings and the decision still to resolve.
