Decision 1

Build the smallest usable pack

Measure the item with its wrapping and any insert, then allow for assembly and removal. A box that fits the bare product may leave no space for fingers, a leaflet or the side-wall folds.

Decision 2

Reserve an outside face

Draw the closure and label area on the assembled sample. Check whether the label can lie flat without crossing the opening. Obtain the carrier's current size and labelling requirements separately before approving the dimensions.
