Measure the complete jar

Measure the lid as well as the body, and record filled weight. A decorative lid, tapered jar or projecting label can change the contact points; a nominal candle diameter alone is insufficient for an insert drawing.

Decision 2

Separate the jars

Compare a single jar with a positioning insert against a divided multi-jar set. Check that the insert supports the intended areas and that fingers can lift each jar without pulling the lid. Agree transport checks for the loaded sample.
